The NIE program has entered third year successfully. This year the program is being conducted by 'The Hindu'.
Asset program conducted by Educational initiatives has sharpened students' thinking as they answer a question each day in one of their subjects and collect points to win prizes. The questions are largely directed to their ability to think independently and children look forward to their AQAD on the Smart Board every day.
Our Scouts attended the scout and guide meet on 22 / 4 /11 and won many prizes in running, relay,long jump, short put, lemon & spoon and won the overall championship shield, for finishing as runner – up.
As part of social awareness 'Care and Share program' and Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations, our staff and students contributed Rs. 46,500/- to Friends of Tribal Society, for educating Tribal Children in the remote villages of Tamil Nadu. We are proud that with this amount we shall be adopting the education of one more village for a period of one year under their Ekal Vidyalaya Scheme.
Std IX and X students went to Thiruvannamalai, Ramanashram and Satanur dam. They enjoyed themselves tremendously. All the other students from VI to VIII also went to Vellore Fort,Amrithi Forest, Rathnagiri temple.The students of classes I and II went on a factory visit to "Britannia Biscuits ".
St.Britto Academy conducted a Drawing competition. A total of 36 students participated and won prizes. The prizes included medals, certificates and cups.
Medical Check Up
Annual Medical Check–up was conducted in February, 2013. The Reports of the doctor together with the recommendations have been forwarded to the parents through the Progress Reports.
The Management of the school constantly strives to see that staff benefits are increased every year. Inspite of not increasing the fees this year, teachers received their regular increment in addition to which they were also given 10% increase in D.A.
